Louisburg Christmas Light Parade December 8th
COS plans to again have a lighted nativity themed float for the parade. The cities street lights will be off so the float will need to be lighted and the more lights the better. Plans are being made. If you would like to participate in this float then please let me, Sharon Meyer or Tammy Langholz, or Ariel Foxx know or sign up in the entry. This parade is always a short one and a little iffy, because of our Kansas weather. The parade will start right after the tree lighting. Parade line up is at 5:30-5:45 at the city market area at 1st and Mulberry. We need volunteers (young and old) to play all of the nativity parts or to walk along side the float. We would also like to have a multitude of angels in the bed of a pickup which will be pulling a trailer float, followed by the wise men (perhaps on horses). Costumes will need to be fitted here in the church basement before then. Sharon Meyer cell 913 671 9300 or home 913 837 4223 Sharonsharing@yahoo.com.
Living Nativity Drive-by Dec 22nd. from 2-4pm
We are presenting the Living Nativity again this year on the church property just across the street which faces Metcalf. Last year (our first) this went over very well with the community. Some folks stopped in and took photos and visited and many honked. It can be cold out there, so please dress in layers with your costume over the top. We also hope to have animals again this year. Anyone wishing to help by participating or bringing animals please show up at about 1:30 to get into your costume and get set up. Again this is for all ages and the more the better. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served in the church basement to warm up after. If you have any questions please speak with Sharon Meyer or Tammy Langholz, or Ariel Foxx. There is a sign-up sheet in the entry.
