James A. (Andy) Keltner was born March 13, 1957. He was reborn a child of God on September 7, 1975 at Resurrection Lutheran Church, Spring Texas. He attended Concordia College in Austin, Texas receiving an Associate of Arts degree in 1977. He matriculated to Texas Lutheran College in Seguin, Texas graduating with a BA in theology. While attending college he worked for Texas Outdoor Ministry occupying various positions.
Andy earned his Masters of Divinity from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri in 1984.While at the Seminary he served for two years at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Dorsey, Illinois as a field worker. He served his vicarage at Trinity Lutheran Church in Paw Paw, Michigan.
During his time at the Seminary Andy met Deborah Lynn Graudin. They were married June 4, 1980. Deb and Andy have four children, James Andrew Jr., married to Heather with sons Tyler and Jared; Joseph Arthur; Katherine Marie, married to Travis Becker with son Travis Jr. (TJ); and Kelsey Mariah. Mrs. Keltner is the daughter of Dr. Arthur F. Graudin, professor emeritus at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis.
Pastor Keltner served for 8 years at Zion Lutheran Church in Fairmont, Oklahoma. While in Oklahoma, Andy served in various positions with the Oklahoma District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Andy helped form the Fairmont Volunteer Fire Department in 1987. He has worked as a Field Instructor for Fire Service Training in Oklahoma from 1990 until 2005.
From 1992-2004, Pastor Andy served as the Pastor of St. John Lutheran Church in Ellinwood, Kansas. He was circuit counselor for Circuit 14 for 3 years. Pastor Keltner served on the Ellinwood Fire Department and was paramedic with Ellinwood Emergency Services.
Pastor Andy has been at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church since 2004. He currently serves on the Louisburg Volunteer Fire Department. He is the department chaplain and part-time paramedic with Miami County EMS.
