OUR MINISTRIES
Being involved and giving back to our community and congregation is strongly encouraged at Christ Our Savior. Sharing our God-given gifts with others is the best way to enrich your church-going experience.
The LWML
The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is the official women’s auxiliary of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. For over 77 years, the LWML has focused on affirming each woman’s relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to support global missions. Our LWML meets on the second Monday of the month at 7 PM, in the church basement.
Elders
Elders are laymen appointed to serve the congregation in its temporal affairs and to assist the pastor in administrative tasks. An example of this is found in Acts 6:1-6:
In those days when the number of disciples was increasing, the Grecian Jews among them complained against the Hebraic Jews because their widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution of food. So the Twelve gathered all the disciples together and said, "It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God in order to wait on tables. Brothers, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word." This proposal pleased the whole group. They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit; also Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas from Antioch, a convert to Judaism. They presented these men to the apostles, who prayed and laid their hands on them.
Each of our congregation's households have been assigned an Elder whose main function is the welfare of our members and the management of the congregation a a whole, however, any Elder can respond to a member's request for assistance.
Elders meet on the first Monday of the Month at 1 PM in the Church basement.

Music
“Next to the Word of God, the noble art of music is the greatest treasure in the world.” --Martin Luther
Music is God’s creation and one of the most powerful ways of glorifying Him. At Christ Our Savior, we use music to enhance the liturgy and encourage the congregation to see Christ's action in our lives. This means we use traditional and contemporary resources from the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod and Gospel-centered texts from the Holy Bible.
Community service
"God does not need your good works,
but your neighbor does." --Martin Luther
Doing good, feels good. Join with us as we visit the elderly in our community, bake pies to raise money for our local Meals On Wheels chapter, or volunteer to help with any of the listed ministry items. Only you can build the community and church you want to see.
